Jakob Meyer was inspired by science fiction while designing the TARO. Stars, unknown moons, fantastic worlds, a spaceship whizzes past. The air is filled with electrical voltage. TARO is an object of complex geometry. The shape is precision cut from steel with a laser. Smart 'folding' has created a multidimensional object with a deliberately restrained use of materials. The TARO is beautiful as a single shelf or in a multiple arrangement. As a system for books and magazines, the collection of beloved objects, as a bedside table or as a key shelf in the hallway.
