The odd buildings by Noa Defesche
Graphic designer Noa Defesche has a special interest in print, letters and (advertising) signs. She combines this with an architectural design language consisting of grids, facades, floor plans and street scenes.
Photography is the starting point of her work. A growing collection of photographs, mainly taken abroad, forms an archive from which she selects material. She analyzes these images and cuts them up into individual elements such as doors, windows, billboards or abstract patterns and structures. With these elements she builds new imaginary buildings and towers, where repetition of shapes and street typography are important principles.
With Noa we selected collages and had high-quality prints made from them. We work in small quantities.
